The CCA is proud to host three pre-conference trainings the day before the 2023 Annual Conference. These trainings are offered by leaders in the Colorado mental health community, and allow attendees to earn up to 4.5 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Hours in addition to the 10 CPD Hours earned at the Annual Conference on August 24th and 25th.

The Imposter Syndrome Antidote: How to support supervisees/clinical interns and enhance your skill as a clinical supervisor.

Francisca Mix, LPC, BC-DMT, ACS

3 Continuing Professional Development Hours. These professional development hours meet the LPC Supervisor requirement of 3 professional development hours every two years (LPC Rule 1.18).

Pre-licensed therapists/clinical interns are new to the field and are overtaken by worry, stress, and having to manage their imposter syndrome. Beginner’s minds take over and they lose connection to their wisdom and life experience, which impedes their ability to provide care with presence, decreases critical thinking, and hinders creativity in the therapy room with clients. Some of the roles and responsibilities of a clinical supervisor is to educate, role model, and nurture the supervisee's/intern’s identity development. Learn how to support a supervisee's/clinical intern’s confidence to minimize their imposter syndrome and leave with a game plan that you can implement.

Date/Time: August 23rd, 12:00-3:00pm MST

Location: Keystone Resort

Fee: $125.00 (select Registration tab above)
